Showers are warm and damp which creates the perfect breeding ground for mold and drain flies. Recently i discovered small black worms on my shower floor. They are the offspring of the tiny drain fly which you occassionally see on the shower wa. After reviewing this thread i decided i probably had shower worms.

We have these tiny little worms in the shower on the ledge under the shampoo bottle. Out shower is tiled as well and is cracked along the bottom. About 6 mo ago i noted cute little moth like flies in my shower and thought little of them. My husband cleans out our drains often. Drain flies will lay their eggs inside the drain or on your shower floor. Their is nothing to pull out of the drains you can see straight through.

Before finding these worms i have seen some of the tiny black moth like flies in my bathroom but there has been an influx of them since i have. A number of pests and problems can originate in your shower. These disgusting little black not really worms are tough to beat. They are black in color and when i pick up the shampoo they all begin moving.
